Baptism

PURPOSE

Baptism is a vital step for a person who is following Jesus. It's not just a public declaration of a personal faith, but it's also an outward symbol of an inward reality.

When we see baptism in the Bible, we almost always see this pattern: "they believed...and they were baptized..." Baptism, then, was seen as the natural outcome for someone who professed faith in Jesus.

Not only do we see this pattern in Scripture, but Jesus taught his disciples that Baptism was important to their mission: "Go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit" (Matthew 28:19). For all of these reasons, we believe that baptism is important for the faith of every believer.

Do you want to be baptized?

We ask that everyone who desires to be baptized first attends our Foundations class, where we will discuss more of the details surrounding baptism in one of the sessions. (We have designed this class to be for those high school aged and up.)
