Community Group Study Notes
- Have someone in your group give a brief recap of Sunday’s message, highlighting the primary Scripture points and the main idea of the message.
- How did this message strengthen and/or correct your previous ideas about the advancement of the gospel? Was there anything you heard for the first time or that caught your attention, challenged, or confused you? Did you learn anything new about God or yourself this week?
- Read Acts 10:1-33 as a group. What words, phrases, verses, or situations in the narrative stand out to you? Share as many observations with the group as you can?
- What did the Jews think of those who lived in Caesarea? Are there any groups of people, or specific people, that you tend to look down upon or believe that the gospel is not for them? If so, who and why?
- Read Acts 10:34-11:18 as a group. What words, phrases, verses, or situations in the narrative stand out to you? Share as many observations with the group as you can?
- The main point of the sermon was “The good news of Jesus is good news for everyone.” How does this text teach us this? How does this change the way you think about those groups of people, or specific people, you tend to look down upon?
- Who are your 5 people in 2025 you are committing to pray for and live on mission toward? Take time as a group to pray for them right now.
- As a group, take some time to thank God for the work He has accomplished through our Lockport (15 years) and Niagara Falls (6 years) campuses. Take time to pray for them, its pastors and staff, and the congregations, that the gospel would continue to advance through them.
- What action step do you need to take in response to this week’s message? How can your group hold you accountable to this step?
Action Step
