Thanks for taking a moment to consider joining The Chapel as a member! The Bible clearly teaches us that every person who entrusts his or her life to Jesus Christ is a member of His worldwide body of believers, the global church. The Bible also instructs Christ-followers to actively engage and partner with a local gathering of believers (see Hebrews 10:24-25 ) known as a local church. This active engagement and partnership is carried out formally through our church membership process.
A church membership process creates a public, visible means through which we join in the life of a local church and willingly submit ourselves to its God-established authority. We believe that becoming a meaningful member of a local church is important for one’s growth in Christ, the good of a local church, and for our joint participation in the mission of God.
The Chapel, as a local church, expects members to invest their spiritual gifts, resources, time, and money to reach every man, woman, and child through repeated opportunities to hear and see the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
Our church membership process seeks to do the following:
-
Give prospective members a clear picture of our church, that way they can determine if The Chapel is the best fit for them.
-
Give prospective members clarity on what we expect of members at The Chapel.
-
Give prospective members clarity on what they can expect from The Chapel.
-
Get to know, as best as we can, those who wish to join our church.
Some of the requirements for membership at The Chapel are:
Entrusting your life to Jesus Christ as a believer and follower.
Membership is not required for marriage at The Chapel.
