Rest

There is always a draw to simply go and rest in something, but there is a deeper rest when we rest in some one. We want to encourage you to come and rest in Jesus. Take some time, grab a notebook, bible, and use these questions as a guide to spend some time with the Him.

Reflection Questions from the Video

Question 1

When do you feel the most worn down and burned out? What burdens feel heaviest to you?

Question 2

Where do you turn when you feel overwhelmed? Does this bring you true rest or just temporary distraction?

Question 3

What would it look like for you to turn to Jesus instead and find rest in him?

Something to Think About Through the Week

Start a new note on your phone or grab an index card and write out the words of Matthew 11:28 at the top. Underneath that verse, take notes for the next 7 days when you’re feeling rushed, stressed, or restless. Jot down your first instinct when you reach that point of being overwhelmed - where do you turn? Stop and pray through the words of Matthew 11:28, asking God for help in turning to Jesus.

Then Jesus said, “Come to me, all of you who are weary and carry heavy burdens, and I will give you rest.” Matthew 11:28
