Support For Ukraine

As a church, we want to see how we can effectively help the Ukrainian people, who have had to make either the hard decision to leave their home country at this time or who have decided to stay.

Many ministries are raising funds, and we’ve identified 4 key ministries that we’re confident are helping with immediate needs during this difficult crisis in Ukraine;

- First Samaritans Purse, a Christian humanitarian aid organization led by Franklin Graham, is providing medical aid and care and has established an active position in Poland, (a border country west of Ukraine), as well as a station into Ukraine itself. Samaritans Purse is receiving refugees and helping with supplies and transportation to safe locations.

- Second is another faith-based organization called Concilium, which is also now in Poland. Concilium, partnering alongside Samaritans Purse, is establishing housing for fleeing Ukrainians and providing security analysis and contingency recommendations to the seventy other Christian mission agencies within and around Ukraine.

- A Third ministry is Cru, which has asked their own European national staff and border country staff (over 120+) to organize and provide supplies and temporary housing for these displaced families,

- And fourth, our own personal ministry connection here in Buffalo, Bria and Jessie Pohle serving with Mission Go who, just before Christmas last year, met with several Ukrainian Pastors, military chaplains and visited soldiers stationed on the front lines. Bria and Jessie have personal connections with the Ukrainian church communities who are still in-country, some stranded and are finding ways to provide for their needs. Many Pastors, leaders, and families have made the decision to stay in their home towns, even though they face the dangers of this war, see an opportunity for those in their community to come to know Jesus.

If you feel led to help these ministries display the love of Jesus through their caring efforts of prayer, aid, and guidance, we are taking a special offering specifically to support these ministries who are serving Ukraine!
