The Role of the New Community

The New Community

Pastor Jerry Gillis - February 22, 2015

We need to learn what it looks like to submit our heart to Jesus, so our heart wants what the King wants. Cross-shaped lives reveal the Kingdom of God.

Community Group Study Notes

  • Why is it important for us as disciples of Jesus to reveal the Kingdom of God in our everyday life? What would that even look like?
  • How does your love for the King of the Kingdom, Jesus, overflow into your relationships with others, including enemies?
  • In your present circumstances right now, how can you live a life that is cross-shaped? What would it look like for you to sacrifice in love for others today?

Memory Verse

For the message of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God. (1 Corinthians 1:18)
