What Is It?
The Canopy of Prayer is a joint effort with churches all over Western New York to cover this region in prayer, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. We are aiming for each day of each month to be covered by Easter of 2026.
How Do I Get Involved?
Here at The Chapel, we want to be all in with the Church of Western New York in prayer. Although this is a churchwide effort that we are embracing as a church, each campus has “adopted” a different day of the month. Here is the schedule:
We’re asking that you commit to one, 15-minute time slot each month. That’s it! Click on your home campus above to register and let us know you’re praying right along with us. As you can imagine, the overnight hours tend to be the last to be claimed, so if you can, consider taking one of those slots as your schedule allows each month.
What Should We Pray For?
Our first aim in prayer is to ask that the Good News of Jesus would spread throughout Western New York, and that God would use us to do it. We are primarily asking for God to soften the hearts of people to be receptive to the Gospel. In addition, we will communicate periodic updates with additional prayer prompts.
I urge, then, first of all, that petitions, prayers, intercession and thanksgiving be made for all people... This is good, and pleases God our Savior, who wants all people to be saved and to come to a knowledge of the truth. — 1 Timothy 2:1, 3-4
