The Call to Engagement
At our 65th Anniversary Service, Pastor Jerry invited us into a bold yet attainable goal for 2026 within our Engage vision: to share the gospel with 10,000 people. We believe this is far more than a target, it’s a call for our church family to step deeper into the heart of God and into His mission for our region. This invitation aligns deeply with our mission at The Chapel: to ensure that every man, woman, and child has repeated opportunities to see and hear the gospel of Jesus Christ, so that no one is left without access to Him.
What is a Gospel Share?
Here is how we are tracking Gospel shares at The Chapel: any conversation that points people to Jesus. There is no set length or format to what "counts" as a Gospel share. Instead, we recognize that God's Spirit may open some doors wide and open other doors ajar. There may be occasions where you can share your entire story of grace with a person from start to finish in one sitting. There may be other occasions where you can briefly point people to Jesus as the answer to life's biggest questions and maybe invite someone to hear more at a church service. All of this is a part of sharing the Gospel, and all of it is important!
How, then, can they call on the one they have not believed in? And how can they believe in the one of whom they have not heard? And how can they hear without someone preaching to them? — Romans 10:14–15
