The depth of our forgiveness will determine the depth of our love.

Community Group Study Notes

  • Talk about this statement: Life-changing love is both sacrificial and substitutionary. How do you see this in what Jesus has done for us? Why was this necessary?
  • When you begin to understand just how much God forgave us, what is your first response? At what point does it begin to fuel your love for God? How is love connected to forgiveness?
  • Knowing how much God has forgiven us, how does that impact how we treat others? Sometimes we say things like, I just dont think I could ever forgive them!  But if God never said that about us, why should we say it about others?

Memory Verse

"Blessed is he whose transgression is forgiven, whose sin is covered. Blessed is the man to whom the Lord does not impute iniquity,
and in whose spirit there is no deceit." -Psalm 32:1-2
