Community Group Study Notes

Discussion Topics and Questions

  1. Have someone in your group give a brief recap of Sunday’s message, highlighting the primary Scripture points and the main idea of the message.
  2. How did this message strengthen and/or correct your previous ideas about making disciples? Was there anything you heard for the first time or that caught your attention, challenged, or confused you?
  3. Who did God use to bring you to faith in Christ? Who has discipled you into greater obedience to Christ?
  4. Where can you grow discouraged when being a disciple-maker? What from the sermon can help encourage you when you face discouragement?
  5. Has God used you in having someone profess faith in Jesus or obey the way of Jesus? If so, when?
  6. Where can you be more intentional in being a disciple-maker (e.g., home, neighborhood, place of employment, places of leisure, etc.)? Who in your life would be blessed by you being more intentional with your role as a disciple-maker?

Action Step

  1. Pray that the body of Christ would embrace their role as disciple-makers within their spheres of influence.
  2. Be more intentional as a disciple-maker with at least one person.
