Chapel Students Resources

Our mission at The Chapel is to ensure every man, woman and child have repeated opportunities to hear and see the Gospel of Jesus Christ. We seek to transform and mobilize each student as they navigate what it looks like to love God, love the Church, and love the world in these unique years of life. Our hope is to equip, connect, and encourage parents on their incredible journey of discipling their children!

All of our Family Ministry environments are designed and implemented with four key values in mind:

  • Jesus Through the Whole of Scripture: We’ll make sure parents and kids discover Jesus through the whole Bible
  • Partner with Parents: We’ll help parents learn to disciple their kids to become followers of Jesus
  • Fun and Engaging Environments: We’ll create fun and engaging spaces where kids can learn and grow
  • Empowered Leaders: We’ll do this all through a team of empowered leaders, of whom everyone’s contribution counts

All of our gatherings will include elements of prayerengagement in God’s Wordworship, fun and community groups!

LEADER RESOURCES

We want to connect you to resources that help you lead confidently in Chapel Students! As you prepare ahead of time, you'll use the series resource below which includes:

Engagement in God's Word  Students gather together to discover more about Jesus, grow in their faith, and be equipped to be disciples who make disciples through  hearing, reading, and discussing God's Word. This includes a weekly message, a key question/application for the week, gospel proclamation, and community group questions.

Worship  We create a time of praise to focus on God's faithfulness and goodness and connection with God through music and reflection.

Prayer We pray together as a large group and in community groups, connecting with and talking to God to seek His guidance in our lives.

Community Groups We want students to connect with consistent, committed, caring leaders and friends in a community group that is a safe place for them to grow spiritually and build authentic relationships with others that help them genuinely love God, love the Church, and love the world.

RESET: A STUDY OF MATTHEW 6
3-week series

Kicking off the new year by "re-aligning" our lives. The next three weeks will invite students to slow down, seek the Kingdom, and allow Jesus to reorder the core areas in their lives. In a study of Matthew 6, we will explore identity, priority, and God-shaped direction.

"But seek first His Kingdom and His righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well." Matthew 6:33

YOUR HALLWAYS MATTER
2-week series

For students, school isn't just a place they go and spend their time-it's a place God has intentionally sent them. Every hallway, classroom, cafeteria table, bus ride, practice, rehearsal, and friend group is part of their daily mission field. This series will help students see their everyday environments as opportunties to live out and speak out the gospel with courage, compassion, and clarity.

"And whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through Him." Colossians 3:17

HEART CHECK
2-week series

We will engage with our students and lead conversations that promote honest reflection of the state of the heart. This series will allow students to evaluate the condition of their inner life: what's shaping them, what they are feeding their heart, and how openness to God changes everything.

"Above all else, guard your heart for everything you do flows from it." Proverbs 4:23

UNDER PRESSURE
5-week series

Every student lives under pressure- pressure to fit in, to perform, to stay strong, to hide weakness, to be perfect, to never slow down, and to somehow hold life together on their own. But scripture is full of people who faced the same pressures we do- stress, fear, expectations, burnout, shame... and discovered that God was not distant from their struggle. He was present in it. Through study of real stories of real people who lived under real pressure we will see: God stands with His people in pressure, He provides wisdom, courage, help, forgiveness, and rest, God uses pressure to shape them- not shame them, and pressure does not have to crush them.

"God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble." Psalm 46:1

IN STEP
6-week series

This series is focused on what it means to walk "in step" with the Holy Spirit. For the first four weeks, we will explore Galatians 5. Then for the last two weeks, we'll discuss what it means to walk in step with the Spirit in our sexuality. This series will allow our students to understand what it truly means to be a disciple of Jesus, and what it looks like to trust in the Holy Spirit to guide our everyday walk. Each week will incorporate practical habits of grace that allow our students to grasp a Spirit-driven life.

"You, my brothers and sisters. Were called to be free. But do not use your freedom to indulge the flesh, rather serve one another humbly in love." Galatians 5:13
